Disaster Services:

The Salvation Army is a leader in emergency services, providing South Florida with the best immediate care and long-term support in the event of a natural disaster or local crisis. With two “Canteens” (mobile units) based in Miami and hundreds more available for deployment nationally, The Army is fully equipped to serve our community with food, comfort, grief counseling and emergency response.For more information visit The Salvation Army Disaster Service website

Chrsitmas and Red Kettle:

The tradition of the Red Kettle started in San Francisco in 1891 and soon became The Salvation Army’s most prominent fund-raiser. All donations remain in the communities where they originate. The Red Kettle Campaign enables The Salvation Army to assist over 34 million Americans recovering from all kinds of personal disasters nationwide.For more information visit www.onlineredkettle.org

Adult Rehabilitation Center:

The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center runs a six-month residential program with a capacity of 135 residents. The program reaches the outstanding success rate of 26% and consists of spiritual, social and emotional assistance for men and women who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. Participants are exposed to a comprehensive approach to recovery. The work therapy program of the Center includes the collection and repair of donations-in-kind and the operation of Salvation Army Family Stores, in which donated materials are sold. Corps Community Center:

The Army’s Corps and Community Centers provide a warm environment for both worship and community outreach. Community programs include youth programs, music education, libraries, food bank, health fairs and sports activities.
